Hey... came to your LJ via that comment.. anyhooo read your thoughts and the comments below and I gotta say I agree with all of it. Although, for me it was always Buffy and Angel - no matter all these other people that they were involved with. I'm a hopless romantic and when I find a ship I love, I stick to it. *grin*

I agree that killing Anya was not necessary but I kinda like the way it was done - just like Wash in Serenity. Quick and totally unexpected. To me, at least. Oh, Joss... you just love to break our hearts.

Again... me and the lengthy comments... I'll stop now.

When did you watch Buffy?

Oh boy... a long time ago. Too long, hence my rewatching. :) But I've never been "in fandom", if you know what I mean. So, how did you come to discover Buffster now?

Buffy/Angel's chemistry just melted the screen and no matter who they were with afterwards, I don't think it was relevant to their connection.

Hear, hear! *raises an alchocolic beverage* You just cannot replace THAT chemistry with anyone! I love that you used the word connection - coz that's egzactly what those two had. And omg how my sister and I squeeed on that scene in "Chosen"!!! It's like every time they see each other no matter what - they have to make out! Yeeys!

Well I sorta gradually got into Buffy last year. And have only finished watching it about 3 months ago.
Did you watch Angel too?
I really looove Angel the show. It was so refreshing and oriented for a more grown up audience with stories that are mor complex. Anyways...

Soulmates forever!!! I mean he came when her Mom died and she still couldn't resist from kissing him ))) It's the most tender spiritual AND physical connection!!!

What are your other ships on BtVS or AtS. I absolutely adore Wes/Fred and I liked the angsty Xander/Cordy relationship too )) Loved Oz by the way!!!

First of all... I LOVE your icon! *flails* Always a pleasure to find more N&S fangirls!

Did you watch Angel too?

I watched it regularly for the first two seasons... then they switched it to a time I couldn't possibly watch... so when I finally was able to watch I had no idea who was who and what was going on so I stopped. I'm watching everything in order now so I'll get to those eps soon.

he came when her Mom died and she still couldn't resist from kissing him

What I love most is that she KNEW he was gonna come... she just stayed there, at the grave, and when the sun came down, she just opened the palm of her hand and he took it. Just. Awsome.

Other ships - Xander/Cordy all the way (I heart those two so much, they were just perfect), Willow/Oz, also Willow/Tara (I didn't care much for Kennedy *shrugs*), Doyle/Cordy (damn you tptb for killing him)... I can't really say anything about Angel coz I really didn't watch the last 3 seasons.

Friend you? :)

YAY! Richard Armitage is such a hottie! Plus the whole North and South series is made of win! I watched that and then I read the book to understand Margaret better. It's so weird, but every time I use that icon in a random place, somebody says "YAY N&S" The series has a looot of fans )

I'm watching everything in order now so I'll get to those eps soon.

Oh YAY! Tell me what you think as you go along. I'd love to discuss. You haven't gotten to Angel/Cordi yet. I want to hear your thoughts and I'll tell you mine.

Yeah I didn't feel much for Kennedy. And I thought Oz was an awesome character. I wish he could stay. It's weird that whoever the main characters had relationships with didn't stick around at all after the 'break up' or 'death' obviously ) They were just gone.

Friend you? :)YAY ( ... )

So true! :) Reason more to watch Robin Hood. I haven't read tho book yet, unfortunatley... but soon. Is it as good as the series? Usually I find the books better.

Tell me what you think as you go along. I'd love to discuss.

YEY! Will do. ;)

I noticed you are a Bones fan too. Was David Boreanaz the one to sway you?

Actually, when I first saw Bones my first thought was "Oh gawd, not another version of CSI!" So I didn't watch. Then I caught it again at the end of season 1, realised the error of my judgement, and got hooked. *grin* So, I guess it wasn't JUST DB that swayed me - it was the whole squint squad! And, Booth/Brennan is made of awsomness! Just because they are so different. They balance each other out imo.

Oh the book is definitely better. As always. You read it and you imagine the actors in place of characters and it all makes perfect sense )

I can't wait for all the shows to return. The episode "Baby in the bough" should be awesome! )))

Wow, I didn't connect the dots. The fact that she waited till the sun set and was just standing there waiting for him. I did seem odd that she stayed there so long since there were all these other things going on )) I love that moment ) squee...Thanks for pointing this out. She does love only him )

You're most welcome. :)

Btw, did you watch Firefly, too? Coz I'm a fan of all-things-Whedon. :)

I didn't see Firefly. Didn't it only have one season? Was it complete or cancelled?

I should probably check it out.

Do you watch House by any chance ? )))

anna_sg1 March 20 2008, 09:41:24 UTC
Firefly had only one season, yes. :( Not even a complete season at that. Only 15 episodes... and Fox is the only one to blame - those bastards. *shakes fist at Fox*

But it was so awsome and great and did so well on DVD sales that they made a big motion picture movie after - Serenity.

You should definitly watch it. The best of Joss. It's like a western in space. And the humour is just wacky and terrific. Remember the creepy evil priest guy that poked Xanders' eye out? The greatness that is Nathan Fillion? :) That's the main actor.

Sorry, I love fangirling Firefly... *grin* I'll stop myself now.

Sadly, I don't watch House. It is on TV at a terrible time and I can never catch it. Also, it is beyond weird to me to watch Hugh Laurie with an american accent. :)
