Future AU Thread -- Naia and Colin
When she was a fourth year at Hogwarts, jumping at her own shadow, she never expected to become the deputy head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. The mere idea of working at the Ministry was abhorrent and horrible to her then, and yet here she was.
Naia sighed, moving and shuffling parchment on her desk as she sorted through the weekly updates and incident reports. This week there had been an attack on a group of Death Eaters, leaving them all dead. All signs pointed to the so-called Rebel Faction -- whose whole mission, it seemed to Naia, was to give her a headache.
On principle, it was a good thing that the Death Eaters were dead. But on a not entirely dissimiliar principle, the processes of justice and government had been violated, and it was something that Naia was supposed to be handling. Her title didn't reflect her true power, but it did provide her with some anonymity.
It was late, and the candles were burning in her office while she waited for Colin to meet her. There was some Business Naia needed to attend to, with capital letters, and Naia had decided that Colin was the right man for the job.
