Mostly a cat update
Asi had a blood draw at 9:00 this morning. Oh well, I thought, at least I get to sleep in. So, of course, our fire alarm runs out of batteries at 6:30. The good news is that I got him in and out of the vets before 9, so I was only 2 hours late to work. Now we just wait until tomorrow to see what the results are. (And Asi made it clear last night that at least part of his issue is behavioral, not medical, so I'm not too worried.)
Tinka and Moxie are into the terrible seven-months. They are getting into everything! Even putting the roll on backwards didn't prevent them from turning the guest bathroom into the kitten equivalent of a ball pit. And there's apparently an EVIL SPOT on the wall near the light switches in the livingroom. Moxie will dive at the wall, climb it, and jump off. Well, have you seen those dancers who run up the wall to flip off? It's about like that. She did it several times last night. It's quite disconcerting!
In better news, Tinka seems to be taking up kneading. In related news, we really need to trim her claws ;) I bet they're big enough for the smaller size of softpaws!
It has suddenly become fall this week. I miss summer, but at least I could open the windows, right? Not so much. The kittens loved smelling the tree that's trying to invite himself into our house, but about two seconds after this picture, Moxie launched herself at a bug or something outside. The screen held, but my heart just about didn't. Guess we'll be keeping the windows closed until they're a bit less crazy!
