A crafty weekend

Hey hey! Turns out one of the on-air NBC channels is playing Olympics! That really helped my craftiness this weekend! (but really hurt the housekeeping...) I finished sewing up the seams on my Mirror Mirror skirt and pleated it (3 times to get it right!) and put in a zipper and waistband! I actually think I'm getting the hang of zippers! I still need to turn and sew the hems... Seriously, guys, you have no idea how much fabric this is! I'm afeared of the hems!

But, I need to hem this, then figure out how the shirt and sleeves will work... I want the sleeves and shoulders from one pattern, and the neckline and waistline from another one... I have an idea as to how it will go... I hope to have it done somewhat quickly, because I've ordered some venise lace teardrops that I'm going to try to force into peacock feathers. I have done so much ebaying for this costume! Lace peacock feathers, real peacock feathers, a necklace - I totally lucked out and found the perfect necklace on ebay!

Well! Anyway! I'm super excited about this costume, and you'll probably have to hear about it all the time until it's finished! Sorry!

When I didn't have the space for carting around yards of material, I worked on my Chartres, my "official" ravellenic games project. I actually started them on the 18th, but it takes me more than two weeks per sock usually, so I'm hedging my bets. I've gotten a lot of work done on them while watching the Olympics! I actually just turned the heel during the opening ceremonies, and I am hoping to close the toe at K-Drama tonight! Then there's just the other one to go, and I have my must-enter for the fair! (Which reminds me. Must fill out online entry form!)

I feel like I had a very productive weekend! Let's not talk about the amount of Diablo III that happened (I pretty much changed out all of my wizard's clothes! She looks like a drum major now!)
