The recap doesn't really show how busy this weekend was!
Happy birthday to my cats! They are now 14, 14, 13 and 12. Planned excesses for the night include giving everyone a treat before they have their dinner (to hide the fact that we're giving Asi a pill) and giving them all another treat an hour later (to hide the fact that we're giving Asi another pill). We spoil them, I know!
This weekend was fun! On Friday, Eric came home! A Spoonflower package arrived at the LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT! There was an anime night! It was fun!
Saturday was Annie's birthday! I was the yarn shop stop on her scavenger hunt! She bought some lovely turquoise and purple skeins of Cascade 220 (separate skeins) and I got some yellow to knit another cosplay sweater vest (Maka, Soul Eater) and a skein of Malabrigo sock yarn. I went to give platelets, as they had called me for a direct donation on Friday, but I failed the iron test. Eric, Chuck & Dan went to the Carolina/Phoenix hockey game, and I stayed home and played FFXIII for Katie. Then we went to Annie's birthday dinner, which was at Bogarts, and was very nice!
I suppose Sunday started when Ben got in. His flight was originally supposed to get in around 11:30 on Saturday morning, but he finally got here at 3:30 am on Sunday! Awful! Eric picked him up, then dropped to sleep for a few hours, before getting up at 6:30 to start some pork shoulders smoking! We had pork shoulders and grilled zucchini and potato chips and pie. It was fun! It's good to see Ben!
And now we're to this morning. Not so good, ackshually! I've forgotten my lunch at home, gone back to get it, realized I was completely out of gas, been late to work, and come in to a mess :P I am ready for tonight! I will kick the pants off of Odin!
