Harry Potter!

UGH! So, this weekend was pretty not-good overall, involving stomach bugs, broken irons, broken knitting needles, and a localized wind storm that took out all the power lines in front of my workplace. But, by Sunday, I was feeling better, had moved all my knitting to a new needle (and the old one has a lifetime warranty), bought a new iron, and they'd gotten the power up at work and I'd only had to remote in to bring my systems back up. Plus, the two days of ennui brought on by the stomach bug gave me plenty of time to finish Suikoden Tierkries (minus 12 stars. So, it goes on the replay list.) and get through the annoying first chapters of Suikoden III. Now that I'm to the point where I can recruit stars, I'm not as aggravated about the game. (Eric thinks it's ridiculous that I'm playing through a game that annoys me so that I can play a game that I actively dislike. But after that I get to play SuikoV again, and I *love* that game, so I will slog through the others.)

So! Sunday! The day that made up for the rest of the weekend! A huge group of us went to see the Harry Potter movie (The twins haircuts! OMG, so cute! Not enough of them in the movie, for sure!)! And, since we hadn't gone to the premier (we old people have to get our sleep so we can work in the morning), we dressed up for the occasion! Harry Potter is a good gateway drug into cosplay, because it's so easy to dress up for, and the outfits are so cute! (I'm sad that they don't have uniforms anymore.) It was suggested that we dress up for every movie we go to, and I think that would be fun! Because, you know, we don't have enough dress up occasions!

Here are some more people dressed up! Alan was evil!Ron, with a dark mark tattoo on his arm, but I didn't get a photo of it! But Katie is very cute as a Ravenclaw (with super-long scarf!) and Nick and Alison... I don't know. Did they even dress up? They're just naturally Slytherins. (Final dress up count - three Gryffindors, two Ravenclaws, two Slytherins, two Hufflepuffs!)
