Ravelympics weekend

The first weekend of the Olympics! I finally got to start my Ravelympics project! So, it was just a weekend of knitting away, right? Well, not so much.

I had to have cupcakes for Saturday evening. I was going to make them Friday, but it was just too hot in the house. So I got up early on Saturday to make them. There will be a post dedicated to these lemon olive oil cakes, as they're wonderful. While I was baking, I decided to make blueberry muffins for breakfast. Just a basic muffin recipe with blueberries thrown in. Mmmm.

Then, on to the knitting! Other than my Saturday night, I spent a *lot* of time knitting. It takes me about 15 minutes to make a row, and I'm up to row 51 now. I just did the first row of the second color. But, oh no! Look at that hole! Way way down on row 20 or so, I didn't catch a stitch completely. Due to the nature of the stitch in that area, it won't run. But I dread the thought of dropping down that many rows to fix the stitch! (No way am I unravelling that much knitting!) Can anyone suggest a fix that doesn't involve that much work? And would still keep it fair-worthy (Do you see other things that will make it not-fair-worthy?)? I know it's probably useless, and I'll be dropping down and knitting back up on lunch break, I suppose.

I was disgusted with the knitting when I found the hole, so I made a pattern and cut out the material for a basic lolita dress. I probably won't get very far on it at the moment, as I'm concentrating on the shawl, but it will give me something to concentrate on when the shawl gets too frustrating.

Speaking of lolitas, there are finally some pictures up of our lolita tea party last weekend! I forgot my camera, but Annie and Leah came through here, here, here, and here. Yay!
