Weekend babble

home. safe. tired. need to learn to read directions before starting the project. This turns out to be good advice in both crafting and in driving. Went to check and see where my turn was on the ride home, and I was about an hour past it. Oops >< (Still, it only took me 8 hours to get home. Not great, but not what I'd figured it would take after I messed up.)

The big problem with visiting people is that I remember how wonderful it is to be around them, and it's awful to go home :( Everyone should live closer to me.

Anyway, the weekend was wonderful! It was great to see all (most of) the TN people, and it was relaxing to not be the one panicking for a bit! Boxes were packed, cakes were made, Ehlana's were annoyed, and all-in-all, it was a very fun weekend!

I got a template bookscarf done, and then bothered to actually *read* the directions... no wonder it looked awful! (It calls for DMC cotton, I was using DMC floss. Same gauge, completely different knitting experience!) Also got the first third of my Clapotis done. It was so relaxing to just sit and knit and not worry that I wasn't doing dishes, or laundry, or cleaning the cat boxes! (Of course, I got home and found out that no one else was doing that, either... but the weekend was over by then)

Also, we watched Pretear! Haha! Their site is subtitled "Wearable bishonen!" So true! The site is woefully out of date, but, look, laotsunami! Model sheets for her magic girl outfits! Well, minus Shin's. Drat! Anyway, it's a fun anime! If you like magical girl stuff, you'll like this! A bit predictable, but what magical girl anime isn't?

Did some attempted sketches for nano, but wasn't happy with them. Tonight, Page One gets drawn whether it wants to or not. (Since, by my week-behind declaration, that would make today October 31, would that be considered cheating?)

Oh! Also, we got MTAC rooms reserved! So if you're planning on staying with our group at MTAC, contact laotsunami as soon as possible, so she knows how many are planning on showing! Speaking of MTAC, I looked at the table descriptions, and they've taken a lot of the ridiculous rules off of the table pages. They've also taken the Art coordinator off the contact list. I wrote to her to find out what all is up, so we'll see :)

Anyway, it's a new week, and I think I'm up to tackling this whole "life" thing again :) ... After lunch.
