I mean, really, with so many names in the friends list it doesn't take a surgeon's brain to figure out things will pile up (to the tune of about 200 posts in 5 days?!) in a hurry...
(Ha! The broadcasters started talking about how hard it is to bunt vs. a knuckleballer, and maybe Matt Morris should just be allowed to swing instead, and Morris immediately lays down a perfect squeeze bunt on a 1-1 pitch :~D. 3-1 Cards over Red Sox in the 2nd.)

The incomparable Diane Duane has kindly pointed out a very funny spiel by the equally incomparable (waits a minute for the universe to get its requisite imploding over with) John M. Ford riiiight here. There's another silly bit from him about a dozen comments down.
I may or may not write that one essay yet. Still undecided, but since I just let off actual steam about it the pendulum just swung towards "Nope" a little.
But it, like too much else in life, really comes down to whether I feel like bothering.
Meanwhile I continue to calmly let the proverbial opportunity-of-a-lifetime-to-achieve-nothing-much pass me by like so much wind. And Zeke thinks he's a slacker... 8~|

KJ is doing all right as of yesterday, for those who know her. :-)
A pair of geese at college have three fuzzy babies following them around. { :~O, :-), :-(, 8~} } They must've hidden their nest really well...
Did NOT get That Grant this time around. Mostly because departmental summer funding went from "Who's yo' daddy?" the past few years to "MOMMMYYYYYY!" this year. Bleh. Will seek alternative sources of $$$, a.k.a. "seeing if anyone else will pay me for this".
Did have a nice downpour today by college that cleaned most of the yuck off my car :-). Home got just a few sprinkles though.
