A couple of weeks ago we headed up north to be with KJ's family, right in the thick of the cold weather. Tink enjoyed the snow. She'd sniff along and decide there must be something buried right here and start digging to see if there was. I needed gloves, coat, and scarf to be out for any length of time, and a hat and sweater were helpful too.
K. took to Tink immediately. I think he would have walked off with her if he could have. He's been doing woodwork -- made a pretty table out of about a dozen different wood types. B. seems to think he's a pirate and also a jailer. I asked him how that worked and he didn't respond, just dragged me into the rec room with his sister and shut the door. He was afraid of Tink's charges and I can't really blame him.
Mom and Dad liked their presents. I was a little concerned that Dad might already have a DVD of The Guns of Navarone, but no. Got KJ a Tracy & Hepburn movie, Keeper of the Flame, on the cheap and it wasn't quite up to her expectations, but it was a respectable movie.
Got back and the cold and snow were here too. It's warmed up now, cooled off a little again but the snow has melted and I've raked up the last of the piles from fall.
Tink has her first obedience class tonight. Pooky has mostly gotten used to putting up with getting licked on the ear, but we need to get Tink to stop jumping on people and chasing things that don't want to be chased. Or chewed. Or bitten, but she's a border collie mix and I guess they like nipping at heels.
I've been pushing on my creative works lately. I've got three to finish. I intend to get the one done in the next week, no seriously, and start putting it out there. Then we'll see what happens next.
