Put that one on the board

It's official: My M.S. diploma arrived today. I am a graduated M.S. fellow. That really helps with my confidence in looking for a job (I've found one or two leads so far). I'm sure it's totally unrealistic of me, but the idea of going to a job interview and them asking for proof of this alleged degree and me just having to hem and haw about it being in the mail . . . that would be unpleasant. Especially if it turned out that I managed to miss some obscure requirement and wasn't technically graduated after all. Anyway, that's money in the bank now, and I need to turn it into literal money in the bank.

I'm hoping for a decent job in the St. Louis area, but KJ wouldn't mind going up north to the St. Paul region. (Brr.) Of course, we may end up going somewhere else entirely. My job's the bottleneck, as there are apparently a lot of openings for her degree all over the place.

college, work
