KJ wanted out of the house yesterday, and the weather was so nice we didn't even want jackets. So we went out to Mid-Rivers Mall (sp?) for lunch and shopping. My brother had alerted us to a very nerdy used-*store -- comics, books, games, movies -- being there, and so we checked it out. Turns out I'd been there once, years ago. It's changed since then. Anyway, we picked up a few Star Trek things and a stack of Pokemon cards on the cheap. The calendar kiosks were already offering "pleeeease buy our stuff" prices, so we got a van Gogh calendar for ourselves and another Psalms calendar for my Sunday school room, and another card game again on the cheap.
So now, added to Christmas, I've got four new (actually old) ST novels to read. But I feel like "accomplishing" something today, so I'm going to try re-starting an old project of mine instead . . .
Pooky seems to like her new food just fine. Hopefully it'll clear up her urinary tract problem.
KJ's been burning through MM7 lately. (And beginning to show signs of getting hooked on Arcomage, heh heh heh.) We're getting close to the point where the time-dependence of the gameplay rears its ugly head. Fortunately she said she doesn't really care about capital-W winning (that is how I believe I phrased it), but we'll see how she reacts when the game pulls the rug out from under her.
