Sat in on the litmag class yesterday. It went pretty well even though we (they) didn't get through a whole two packets as scheduled. Good fun, with B. being his usual wacky self. We may have a new M. in the girl who was sitting to my left--she was handing out 1's practically all over the place at times. Heh.
Not sure if it's the entries or myself--probably both--but I felt like I was giving out somewhat lower scores this time than usual. As in, a lot more 2's. Eh well, mine don't count except as a bit of influence on the others.
It rained pretty thoroughly the last two days. I guess it was getting that out of the way so today's annual town fair could be reasonably dry. :-) The parade was good, although shortish again. Didn't find anything in the used books tent for myself, although Mom and Dad picked up a few books. Mom got something from the crafts alley too, not sure what. Probably one of those pretty sweaters or some fabric.
Uncle passed through on Thursday night on the way to a show and is stopping by again now. :-) He brought me 3 chess books he'd evidently picked up at a garage sale. Two look helpful but the third . . . ehhh, it has a few helpful diagrams awash in a sea of childish stuff, really. It's one-move and two-move checkmates. I tried to skim through and pick up some helpful insights, and to some extent I succeeded, but for the most part it was just pointless, really. Ah well, can't win them all.
