Writing progress

Mother Nature punched our area yesterday with about half an hour, maybe more, of hail and torrential rain and very strong wind in varying amounts. Our power went out within about a minute of the onset, at 1:20 (give or take a couple of minutes), and stayed off until past midnight. So I had to wait until this morning to (FINALLY!!!) "finish" that one game. Verdict is it may possibly be better than its predecessor, and it's very possible I'd feel the other way around if I'd played them in the reverse order, but that said I prefer the other one's friendly comfyness over this one's tear-your-hair-out intricacy of gameplay. That said, they're both good games. That said, I have no interest in the Heroes co-series. That said, if we had a computer that could play the next game (which I don't know if our downstairs comp can or not), I might be tempted to nudge my brother into getting hold of the next game. I've read a few interesting bits about that one . . .

Oh well. I was able to use that time yesterday to come up with a jolt for the main character in The Novel I'm writing, which is a MAJOR breakthrough for me, it's a superbly thematic turning point and I even got four pages (large writing) down on actual paper, plus I've got the actual encounter roughly sketched out. Oh it's lovely. (In the artistic sense, not as in the purty sense.) So I'm quite happy about that. This story has mainly been progressing in terms of scenes, so it's nice to begin to get a proper handle on what the plot flow may look like.
