Long shambles

Another collection of random bullet points!

- Wouldn't it be really foolish to see one of those commercials and say "Wow they got that cell phone so amazingly skinny! How totally cool is that!! I'm totally going to get one of those!!!" Yes it's amazing, no it isn't cool, no it's not exactly high-tech titanium that you're going to be sitting on or dropping or somethinging before the week is out. Doofus-head.

- Not sure if I mentioned this before, but the previously mentioned Announcement is basically typed up already (it's on, like, draft #3 by now). I should type up one of the other posts I'll be making as well . . . but I haven't.

- There was this little girl in a movie on TV yesterday who had replaced her hair with golden/yellow Easter grass. I don't care if it does add to her Awwww! factor, that's just wrong.

- I approve of the job done on our kitchen, with the exception of the surfaces being so touchy about spills and stuff.

- Lou Gehrig had nothing on me. (Except maybe what he did with it.)

- I need a hair cut and a transmission flush.

- . . . I should clarify that my car is what needs the flush.

- To that end, I need to cash Grandma's check.

- "Wombat" does indeed appear to be the Word Of The Fortnight. (Which explains my current KK sig.)

- Speaking of which -- can I get any sledgehammery-er in that one story?? . . . Yes, yes I can. But not much more.

- It would be amusingly ironic (in that nobody-else-even-notices-but-I-get-a-big-kick-out-of-it way that I love so much) if we got the Post-Dispatch to do a bit on the launch. Possibly embarrassing during the actual launch, but I've been there done that before so no biggie, as whatserface would say.

- It's rather amusing (and rather disturbing), watching myself mimic other people. Sometimes -- especially during chats -- I do it almost without thinking about it. This may be helpful if I find myself in a job that requires me to communicate with a wide spread of people, but otherwise it's just kinda odd, I think.

- This is also rather ironic in that I can't even mimic myself. I have no autograph, no set preference for bibliography formatting, I don't even dashify consistently from one writing to the next . . . I am basically an anti-machine.

- Dude, that titan totally lags like slag. Whattacheater. Hmph.

- Which doesn't excuse my continuing failure to work on my site or any of my writings. I have made a little progress on cleaning up my room though.

- Maybe the drivers . . . ? Does the input thingy even have drivers? Surely it does . . . should check into that . . .
