So about to go out for day two of diving and realized I hadn't posted a damn thing in my LJ for over a year. Figured I would clear that up real quick.
So diving Vortex springs in Florida. Yesterday was low 30's and rainy as we all started putting on wetsuits and assembling gear. Since I am finishing up my rescue course I was the last one in the water and I spent the majority of the day on the surface. I will end up doing much the same today I am sure. Looks like it would be a great spot to dive as long as you get there early as that place was packed with divers. A different school out of Tennessee was there doing rescue with some of their students as well, there were at least five basic open water courses going on, three advanced dive courses that I know of... And no telling how many people who were in their DM or IDC courses. Needless to say probably a hundred divers or so. So if you didn't go down early, you weren't seeing anything. By the time I got down for a bit it looked like Loch Ness under water. On top of all that I had to abort that dive because I couldn't get my left ear to equalize. So... we try again today. I was not the only one having issues there though, about half of the people there were having problems clearing. I think it had to do with the cold air and then into significantly warmer water. And in and out. Just my private theory, but hey, it sounds good at any rate.
So, off to the cold temps and warm water again today to finish up. Hopefully I remember to post more on it when I get back.
FYI- For some reason women look incredibly damn hot in a wetsuit. And I will keep saying that until I die.
