Of wisdom teeth and alcohol
So what's been happening lately? A week ago on Tuesday my lower left wisdom tooth was cut off and I got two days of sick leave from work. The operation wasn't nice, but the sick leave was. I went to visit Turku to look at two apartments, of which the first was in shabby condition and the second one was near perfect in size, location and rent price, but some stupid couple got the place. Bah.
My jaw has been aching because of the operation more or less the whole week and I've had to eat lots of painkillers. The stitches were removed yesterday and the dentist put some sort of medicine into the wound. It removed the pain for the whole evening and night which felt pretty wonderful, but today morning the ache was back. I think it's lessened a bit, though. Phew. Will have the last wisdom tooth removed in a month.
Last Friday was... absurd. And embarrassing. Not going to go into details here, but the evening was spent with two co-workers, Katja and Toni, at Katja's home. Alcohol was drank and at some point things just went weird. I don't remember much of the evening after that. Katja claims that I bit her. o.O Toni recorded a short video with his cell phone in which I say things that don't make any sense. I'm not dying of the embarrassment yet, but definitely swearing to take it easy on this Friday, when we have an official team evening thingy.
We also changed seats at work. I have been here a year now and all that time I sat at the edge of our group, my back facing them, and I couldn't participate in the talks very well. Now I've been seated next to Katja, I'm in the middle of everything and suddenly working has become more fun as well. Don't know if this feeling will last or if I'll get used to it and be bored again, but at least for now this feels good.
Love & Anarchy festival starts this week and Emily will come here to watch movies with me. Lovely. Must remember to finally go and get the movie tickets today after work. And then to Simo's to play some more Shadow of the Colossus. We've killed... 11 monsters, I think.
