My summer holiday has officially begun and I feel good. People wished me happy holidays at work and they all want me to take tons of photos during the Japan trip. I think I might need a second memory card thingy for my camera. One co-worker said that I should buy one from the airport because they're cheaper there. I think I'll do that.
We don't have a place to sleep in in Kyoto yet. The first three ryokans I tried were all fully booked for the one night we'd stay there. I hope this fourth one I applied to will take us in. Well, there's still time to search even when we're already I Tokyo, but it'd be nice to know all's good in advance.
I've been shopping a lot. I think I have thrice the amount of bras that I used to have. Thank god for the sales - get 3 for the price of 2. I also finally found the sort of shoes I was looking for today. Now I just have to spray them all with this water resistant stuff. I hope they won't be completely ruined by the end of the trip. Maybe I should've just bought rubber boots? It's funny, by the way, when I got in to the shopping mode, it was difficult to stop even when I knew I'm done and have everything I need. Just had to consciously stop looking at clothes. At the end of today's shopping I ate at Subway and had a delicious cookie too. Felt really happy right then for some reason.
Plan for the rest of the day: wax legs to remove the hair, shorten the legs of a couple of pairs of trousers, vacuum, wash dishes, do laundry and play FF X-2 if I have the time.
Plan for tomorrow: Eat lunch at mum's, take cats to the pet hotel (waah, I don't wanna), re-dye the stripes of the hair, pack.
