Meme: 8 weird things/habits/little known facts about me
RULES: Each player of this game starts off with 8 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 8 weird habits/things/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you need to choose 8 people to be tagged and list their names. No tag backs.
1. I don't see myself getting married and having kids in the future. I could spend the rest of my life with (a) good friend(s), though. It is scary to think about being completely alone. (This might be known to many, and I find it both normal and weird at the same time, but I'll list it anyway.)
2. I must have things in a certain order in the kitchen. If something is out of place e.g. in the cupboards, I can't leave it like it is. I automatically correct the situation. I don't really think about it, I just do so. The same thing probably applies to other rooms as well, to some extent.
3. I am not a vegetarian, but lately I've been eating more vegetable food than food with meat. I've disliked sauces with chunks of meat for a long time, because the meat might have icky fatty parts in it. Fat in meat makes me gag.
4. I want to have a lot of tea in the house even if I don't drink it much by myself. Usually I need company for drinking tea, unless I have a cold. But teabags and cute glass jars full of tea leaves make me happy.
5. Chocolate is my favourite kind of sweet, but it makes my teeth ache if I eat it. The aching started a couple of years ago. I still eat chocolate, but only in small pieces. I never buy candy for myself, but I will eat some if I'm offered.
6. The first time I was even a tiny bit drunk was in 2004 at the age of 21, my father's third wedding (April-May). I learned to enjoy wine there. Or perhaps the first time was a party after my birthday on the same year (October) where Jutta made me drink three ciders (the horror!). Before that I didn't see any sense in getting drunk. Now it's a lot of fun. I've had a hang-over once.
7. I started buying fantasy books for myself 10 years ago. The first series I bought was The Belgariad series by David Eddings (end of 1996 - beginning of 1997). I really enjoyed reading his books back then, but now I've considered selling them... except that they were the first of my collection. Also, I bought them at the time when dad left us and moved away. The first books I got when he was still with us, but he'd gone by the time I had money for the last ones.
8. I've had a kind of serious crush on a girl once. As open-minded as I think I am, I was afraid to admit it to myself even though I knew what it was. Hadn't realized I could go in denial about something like that, when I have nothing against gay people, quite the opposite.
