A JPop band called Ayabie is playing here in Helsinki today and the city seems to be full of teenage girls dressed in gothic lolita clothing. I've been out today three times - went to work, went to lunch, returned from lunch - and every time I've ran into a group of goth girls. They're kind of cute, though, at least as long as they keep their mouths shut.
Yesterday was cool. The graduation ceremony at school was just as boring as I'd assumed it would be, but I survived it and got my diploma. Afterwards there was Spanish champagne and platters full of chips in Santa Fé restaurant with mum, brother and Harry.
Evening was nice. Almost all of my most important friends from around this city came to the dinner thing and there were 13 of us. Both food and wine were good. And I got some cool presents! A jar for tea that held all kinds of party items. There was e.g. a funny bottle opener, chocolate, balloons, very small bottles of vodka and bacardi and a pretty red glass. I also got a green teapot, a bag of tealeaves and two (or three?) shotglasses. It felt like very early Christmas or perhaps birthday. :P
After eating we went to a nearby pub called Kaisla and sat there chatting for an hour or two before going home. Mika joined us in the pub and came to stay over the night at our place. He and Harry got along so well it was scary and they had the weirdest of conversations in the bus on our way home, which entertained me and my roommate greatly. But I blame the late hour for it all, as probably they do too.
We were wise and went to bed almost immediately after getting back home. I got my nowadays usual 6 hours or a little less of sleep, but I'm still surprisingly awake today. I went to work in the morning and Harry left home to pack (or watch his mum pack for him? :P) for his trip.
I've still got half an hour of official working time to go. And I should meditate on a certain matter: whether to apply for a permanent position in this company or not. They have a place open and they know me so I might get it. Then again, I would be doing a different kind of computer work than what I'm doing here now, so I'd have to learn it from the beginning and the other applicants may be just as qualified for the job as I am, or better. I'd be doing things with databases and I have learned the basic things regarding them in school, but I've probably forgotten half of it.
The only thing stopping me from applying for the job immediately is this half-dream of moving to Turku, because I really like my friends there, but getting a job from there might be a bit difficult. I'd really like to go, though!
So, should I be sensible or go for a dream? The deadline for applying for the job here is tomorrow. Waah! I don't know what to do... :( I guess I could try to get it and then leave this all to fate or something. Meh.
