1. I hate Pedro. WHAT A SHIT. I don't care. I'm increasingly incapable of turning off my dislike of certain players when they're playing for Spain - and I'm fine with it since Alvaro feels the same way. Pedro's a little fuck and basically any time the commentators talk about him I made angry faces and/or hissed. and fuck Busquets too.

1. i agree completely. pedro is not a striker. at best, he makes great runs, at worst, he trips and falls everywhere. he should never have been in the starting line up.
2. to be fair, villa got subbed in the last game against belarus, so i guess it was torres' turn since vdb will only sub on strikers late late in the game (i do not approve!). i think it's hard to justify villa right now because he's not been given much playing time with his club, which makes it hard to judge how game-ready he is.
3. im really tired of reading about cris/messi, i'd like one well written article about the rest of la liga without mentioning those two.
4. fabregas is not a good false 9. he doesn't push forward enough and doesn't create that many goal scoring chances. and because of that, spain as a whole doesn't push forward and lacked the attacking intent. winning by 1-0 should not be the goal, i feel like with the new system, spain's lost a lot of goal scoring ambition, especially without a true striker. i may be a little biased, since i lost all respect for cesc after his horrible acting display against sevilla.
7. the main problem is that vbd doesn't change it up enough so that when he loses people in his starting line up, people dont work well together since they've never played together before. while the line up clearly works, it doesn't work convincingly and he needs to shake things up a bit by making changes.

1. PEDRO IS TERRIBLE. I think 50% of the reason I hate him is irrational but at least 50% is based on the fact that I think we have better attacking options in this world.
2. I mean...all this is true, I just generally think 1. subbing strikers late in the game is DUMB why not just start some, 2. dv should be getting more minutes for Barca and for everyone, everywhere.
4. fabregas is a terrible false nine. I just don't think he can fill the roll the VDB wants him in SO BADLY and like honestly, just because we can kind of win without a striker doesn't mean we should be doing it. I CAN do a lot of things that are stupid and dumb, and that is pretty much how I feel about this lineup at this point in time.
