Still not healthy...

Okay, so my weekend was not the best. We did go pick up the car and had a nice relaxing visit with bernina2000de. With vigils now over, we were all less stressed.

Saturday night, however, was awful. While just trying to get into bed to read for a bit, I managed to pull more muscles in my side. Painfully so. I mean, literally, crying out loud painful. And to top it off, crying would aggravate my cough, and couching hurt the muscles more. I was sort of stuck, I couldn’t get up and couldn’t lie down. Preston came running in. I was trying not to make too much noise, but I guess I was not successful. I guess it was a good thing, because he had to eventually lift me out of bed so I could move again. I am beginning to forget what it feels like to be hale and hearty. I have been sore for the past few days, as I put off the Louisbourg contract longer than I should, so I have been on the floor cutting. It takes a little longer and I am more conscious of what I need to have at hand so I do not have to get up and down too much!

I was a total twit to leave the Louisbourg stuff so late. Not that I planned on getting pneumonia, but I could have done some before March. I have to say, it is really easy. Elizabeth sends everything you need, patterns, thread, bindings, linings, patterns and sample garments. It is really lovely just to sew and not to think about it. And the fabrics are heavenly! Printed crisp cotton and drapey wools. I miss the costume shop at Louisbourg.

We opened one of the cider, the half using the tablets instead of pasterization. It seems to flat. Drat. The apple flavor is stronger than last year which is nice, but it really does need the carbonation. I guess we will have to cook with it, so it could be worse! Let's hope the pasterized batch came out better.

Oh, and yes, knitprincess, I am waiting for my reply from Ravelry.

cider, sewing, knitting, health (or lack thereof)
