Preface
I was not scared, not even as he towered above, eyes flashing red, teeth gleaming deceptively white; a replica of his own hated father, the man who had decided to play God with his gifts.
He often professed to despise the man and everything that he stood for, yet his actions marked him as a worse man.
The panic had set in long before this moment, ice twisting my veins. I knew this day would come. I had tried everything to help him recognize that I was chained, claimed by another, and never to be his despite our shared nature.
His smirk was triumphant as he reached for my skirt. My eyes filled with hard resolve as I let him push it up and stroke my thigh. He never saw my dagger as it flew into his spleen.
