Company Training: Day Two
Im already really starting to like the company. Lots of fun people, and I've been helping some of the slower ones out who don't know as much as me. Phones for a while may be stressful at times, but I think I'll like it ok. I enjoy helping people. Our new instructor is also very fun. He had some great experiences to share, some of which...
Phone Calls: the general idea of the story, the tech would ask for info before the customer, but thats standard.
Cup Holder:
Male Client: Yes, I'm calling to report that my Cupholder is broken, and I'd like a replacement sent in.
Tech: Cupholder? Our computers don't come with cupholders sir... *thinking to himself, did he just ask what I think he did?*
Male Client: Well, my cupholder broke when I sat my drink down on it, I thought they were supposed to support more weight than that, I use it all the time.
Tech: Where is this cupholder located?
Male Client: On the front of my computer up top, it pops out when I press the button.
Tech: *mutes his mike, laughs his butt off for at least 10 seconds until he can regain his composure*
Sir, that is your Dvd rom drive, it isn't a cupholder. Since you used it in an improper manner we can't cover that in your warranty.
Credit Card:
Female Client: My computer took my Credit card, can you send it a message or something to make it give me back my credit card?
Tech(with a bit of bafflement in his voice): Took your credit card? What do you mean took your credit card?
Female Client: Well I was shopping on this website, and they asked me to put my credit card number in. So I put the card in the slot in the front of the computer where it goes. Now it won't give it back...
Tech: Maam, that slot is the floppy drive, I'm sorry to inform you that our warranty doesn't cover that... *goes on to tell her the best shot of getting it unstuck*
Heh, he also said he'd had multiple asks for as to where they might find the any key, as it wasn't on the keyboard.
Oh, and I got placed with the gateway team... Score!
