(no subject)
Quick update on life.
Thursday was Janie's b-day. Jim/Grace/I bought a fuckton of Chinese food and went over to her house for feasting and hat-making. Good times!
Grace/I were supposed to go to Chicago this weekend for lateniteslacker's xmas party. We didn't quite make it due to a bad combination of weather and financial issues. Instead we stuck around Ann Arbor. This weekend was our 1 month anniversary \o/ The celebration involved a huge amount of homecooked lasagna, green tea mousse cake, failing at Guitar Freaks/Drum mania, and Nobuta.
We both bought Domo-kun t-shirts yesterday from Mirai, a local japanese store. Mirai has a TON of vhs tapes for rent including drama, variety shows and movies, and is usually only a couple weeks behind. They also have a fairly extensive manga and magazine section, a small cafe, and a good supply of misc. Japanese goods. We'll be doing a fair bit of our xmas shopping there I think.
After Mirai, we ended up getting a snack at a local bakery, Pastry House Hippo. It's an asian bakery and they make their buns into all kinds of shapes/animals for kids. Grace got a turtle and a crab, I got a panda xD
Janie/Becca/Grace/I went ice skating last Friday. I think it's fair to say that I'm the best skater of the group (though, I wouldn't call myself good xD). I was also the only one who fell on my ass. 9 days later, my side is still hurting D:
