Busy-ness

Well, since my last post I've been accepted a the college and have been doing a sort of do it yourself orientation. Which, given that I've never actually done any formal teaching before is a bit, well, daunting...

As for the hospital, they did accept my full time resignation and let me stay on as a casual employee, we will see how that goes. But, since this position is only guaranteed for one year (with the possibility of it becoming permanent next year, after some things the college has to get straightened up, are...) I figure I had better keep a foot in the door with the hospital on the off chance I need to go back.

This is going to be a busy month, I'm coming on board just in time to take a class out to the "local facilities" ( official speak for nursing homes...) and help them have their first clinical experience. Part of me is looking forward to the challenge, part of me is wondering why I cant win the lottery and crawl into obscurity somewhere. I wonder, would it help me to win if I bought tickets? Mind you, I'd probably feel less antsy abut it all if I had been in on the teaching from the start, jumping into the middle of something tends to have its share of major suck-age, as they say.

Well, next semester I will be teaching as well as everything else. Let's see, I get to teach Pharmacology, so, I get to tell the pupils all about major drugs and their uses and side effects. In preparation I'm busy watching everything I can get by Ben Stein, I want to emulate his teaching style in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"!  ^_^

Speaking of whom, who here has watched "Expelled" yet?
