:C Well, I hope you did do well on your midterms no matter how you felt. And we have blue books too, I kinda hate how we need to pay fifty cents/half a meal point for eight sheets of binder paper.
Whaa? I kinda regret not going to the strike/rally thing now. People were pulling fire alarms and stuff here though. I didn't pass by Sproul, so I didn't actually see much besides some people with signs marching around in a circle.
Lol, the price isn't too bad. Thanks. It's the women's studies I'm worried about though, which is coming up on Thursday.
Wow. Nothing that exciting here. XD
I think that version might be hard to find on the internet, since it's specifically in a book about pre-Hellenic myths and there's no original source left... And as was pointed out to me Greek rape=/= nonconsensual sex.
Premise is that Demeter and Persephone are chilling. Persephone's all "Hey, i see dead people wandering around and they look miserable. What up with that mom?"
Demeter replies, "Well, kid, even though I'm in charge of the dead, I'm too busy taking care of the living.
Persephone: "Oh noes. I shall go and ease the suffering of the dead!"
So she goes to the underworld and ushers them into the underworld. Mom goes emo, and the earth dries up. Persephone returns though and they're happy again.

Rape story without rape? I should go look it up.

Aw. Speakers trumps angry people and picket lines.
Wikipedia gave a short synopsis. And I read the other person's comment on rape and seizing.

Lol.
I'm pretty sure wikipedia's summary involves Hades. This pre-Hellenic version is entirely devoid of him and only has Demeter and Persephone.
