i look at you with these eyes
and wish i could hold you with these hands
as the thread unwinds and we keep falling
tell me once more
tell me once more

catalyst: a love that never dies by akikami

his heart is in the tiny hands of a girl who doesnot remember him

he finds it cruel and fitting that se doesn't matter, that she can still be so wise, and yet he is the one with all the answers.  he is gifted with youth again, but that too is cruel.  he has life, but they are both children, and he is no child.  not anymore.  not when the ink still claims his skin, and when he draws his weapon once more, he realizes his hands are soft once more.  his calluses, all the time he spent preparing and straiing his body until it would break; all that work is gone.

he finds it tiresome to play the part of a child, and although he doesn't need to act so much with her, he still acts.  and when he finds the runners again, he sees the recognition in their eyes, and he must flee.  he loves them still, but there is no explanation he can give to why he is not dead, where he was when they were bleeding out like he.  he moves on, into a new city, on the outskirts of the revolution

original fiction: quiet midnight world, writing: original fiction, drabble, poetry
