zoo + dickens fair

Dec 11, 2011 18:09

I officially have nothing to do until Wednesday morning.  0.o  (Well, almost.  I have a rendez-vous, dishes, and the blockade)

So this weekend, I continued this odd stint of spending more money that I have in college before.  On Friday, I went to the Zoo with tiramisudolce, and then on Saturday I went to the Dickens Fair with Knight and Shy.

I'm fond of this zoo ( Read more... )

I LOVE SUN BEARS. The Audubon Zoo has them and they are so relaxed haha. If this college thing doesn't work out, we should go into falconry together. I loved birds of prey as a small child and still do, actually.

Dickens Fair sounds amaaaaaazing. Please let me visit you the next time it comes around and I will bring extra lolita clothing and doll you up and we will be amazing and beautiful.

If that wasn't too creepy. ;)

Also that last part was such a fragment and now it's bothering me.

The English major in me apologizes.

!! :D RELAXED? This sounds even cuter than before. DUUUUUUUUDE, we were so meant to be friends. Did you also read My Side of the Mountain too?

Dude, if you're here, and I'm fortunate enough to have my finals schedule allow me free time, you're welcome to stay in my room! There was one girl in lolita clothes there. :)

Nah, not creepy. If it makes you feel better, I'd totally go to Mardi Gras with you.

LOL, the English major in me has no shame about using fragments. Especially in fanfic. Or sentences like these. AHAHAHA, this is me using my English knowledge of post-modernism to be ~meta~. (and ok, i should probably go to sleep now)

Yeah, the ones here are just like yay sleeeeep~

I think they may be one of my spirit animals.

I LOVED My Side of the Mountain! I even read the sequel (which I don't remember as being as good as the original) and saw the movie!!!

I would love to visit California; I've never been. Also the relative multitude of lolita stores is sooooo tempting ;_;

In turn, you are more than welcome to come visit me, especially since I do get the best days of Mardi Gras off from class. I want to show New Orleans off to someoneeeee.

I love sentence fragments in fanfic too and then I catch myself using them in research papers for classes and it's like oh, I don't think my professor would appreciate my style here haha.

Sleep is important!!!! We require ten hours, remember?

They were totally sleeping when I was there, but I figured most of the animals were sleeping since it was early in the day. And I didn't check back on them when we left to see if they were awake.

LOL. According to the yoga class I took, my spirit animal is a fox.

I read the sequel(s) too! Except for Frightful's Mountain. And omg, there's a movie??? (the book totally led to my continued love of peregrine falcons) Did you also read Julie of the Wolves?

New Orleans sounds super cool, especially with Mardi Gras, but it's right smack in the middle of spring semester I think. :(

(i know sleep is important, buttttttttttt the internet! it seduces me away from my bed!)

The movie totally sucked, as much as I can remember but you know, hey. I hope there's a movie and I'm not just making this up!

At Ren Faire last year they had a tent with all kinds of various birds of prey and I spent quite a while just standing there quietly and admiring them.

I *think* I probably read that; I read pretty much everything I could get my hands on for *years* and anything with wild animals was guaranteed to be a hit.

I keep forgetting that other places don't make as big of a deal of Mardi Gras as we do lol. SKIP CLASS AND VISIT COME ON.

You're totally welcome to visit at any other time too :)

The internet is such a temptress.

Gah, you are so lucky!

I've never heard of one happening where I live in England.

But I want to go! It sounds so cool! Even just for the chocolate...

I hope you do get to go again. To be dressed in costume would cool. [And meanwhile I shall be checking out if there's Victorian fairs here in merry old England.]

Haha, it would be pretty funny if England didn't have something like that! XD
