(no subject)
Ok, so I just came back from a band performance in the theater. Our Wind Ensemble performed with the middle school's and it was fun. The younguns had pretty good balance, and it was a fairly small group. When we performed, well. . . There were some delays. Half our band was gone for sports, and the tuba was gone as well, and we needed him for both our songs. So, the teacher's postponing, and in walks the tuba!!! And we all start clapping and cheering, only to find out, someone's taken his mouthpiece. Boooooo. So, we waited more. Overall it was fun. The poor younguns couldn't play the high notes (the E above the staff) on clarinet. :D
While there, I saw someone I hadn't seen since he was ... what... 12? He was freakin adorable and sweet then, and he still is. Except he's hit puberty, grown a bit, and his voice has deepened just a tad. But he's SOOOOOO adorable!!!! I just wanted to run up to him and hug him to death. But, at the time I was out of it, and by the time it occurred to me, it would have been weird to do so. I should've talked to him more. Actually, I didn't recognize him at first, I thought he was someone else.... He recognized me though, and said hi. I said hi back, not quite sure who he was... Anyway, when I did recognize him, it was a tad too late. Yeah, he's playing the xylophone-y thing in percussion. *sigh* He's all grown up now. I remember when he was younger... Makes me feel nostalgic and old. Ick. But he's still adorable.
Anyway, I have further fallen into the fanfiction abyss. I sat down to type and lo! Final Fantasy XII fanfiction sprang forth (LarsaPenelo)! And then I looked at the screen tweaking out my eyebrows anime-style. Yeah. And THEN I ended up finding good Avatar: the Last Airbender fanfiction, which then furthered my love of good ol' Zutara. And THEN I found Romy for X-Men, which I can only read AUs because I've never read the comic. AHHHH! Why must nothing I ship be canon!!!??? Yes, I was listenining to the radio yesterday and they said Emma Watson wasn't going to do any more Harry Potter (which I have yet to verify) which totally ruined my Dramione (another non-canon ship) image.
