Why I currently regret that I haven't been born earlier

This should be around 30 years old (or more?!). You can maybe hear that from the style of the song, probably not everybody's kind of thing (I don't mind it, I have phases where I listen to Jaqcues Brel or Marlene Dietrich).
When I imagine I had been born in my mum's time xD, had had access to a Japanese TV channel and had seen this guy... oh my, I would have fallen hopelessly in love xD. Now he's more than sixty years old (and still active!) and doesn't quite look like that anymore ;). Ah, but back then...
I absolutely don't like to see this ugly cross on his jacket, true, but the rest...
He's also an actor by the way and *cough* I saw four old movies with him meanwhile.
