What an interesting night indeed.
We didn't want to drink really, so we didnt
But we did want to get out of here. So Mimi and myself decided we'd just go on an adventure downtown. Mimi and me turned into Mimi, Mila, Matt, Steve, Nicole and myself walking downtown.
Along the way we came across a pumpkin leftover from halloween, so we started rolling it down the road, the damn thing rolled down the entire forest hill road on its own, it was awsome. We then carried it with us downtown and threw it off the walking bridge, where it broke on contact with the water. Broken pumpkins float.
We then continued our roaming around, exploring the downtown of Fredericton city. It was interesting, nothing really that I haven't seen before, but fun all the same. We walked past all the dancing clubs and decided against going in them. So we went to the other side of the block and found a nice little dive, we went in and they were playing the greatest blues music ever. it was hilarious and great. I could have sat there all night and listened to it. There were people smoking in there too which really added to the atmosphere. For those of you who aren't from here, its illegal to smoke in bars, well in any public building anymore, so this is really my first smokey bar experience. Great. Beer was expensive though. ah well.
We then headed to subway, on the way Matt needed to get cash, so while we were waiting we stopped and talked to some of the people we knew standing in line at the new gay bar Boom! which was fun, some peeps I haven't seen in awhile. After that we continued on our way to subway, we ran into George, who was on a pub crawl and was loaded. Kept walking after a nice chat with him, wonder if he made it out of that alley alive? Anyways I found ten bucks on the sidewalk. And therefore got a ten inch sub instead of 6 inches. It was like getting a free sub. sweet. Subway how I love thee. Oh so so much.
Then we got a cab and came home.
It was a really unique night I think, very random at least. We never take the time and appreciate the city we're living in for this weird time in our lives. The only time we really go downtown is when we're loaded and just heading to Sweets or NZ's. Which is fun, but theres so much more to see besides booty shaking sluts sometimes.
