My first post in 2009, and I'm feeling kind of excited.
I don't really have any resolution for this new year, since I'm pretty bad at making them more like bad at keeping them ratherBut as always, I hope this year will be better than last year, in every aspect. That's rather general, ne? :p I do wish to move to the next stage of my life this year, ( Read more... )

Has there been any rumors abt ko-chan and Fukada??

I hope ko-chan finds someone eventually too, but i KNOW i will be sad for a long long long time when that happens.

There used to be rumours about them when they were in dramas together, but now..well, I've never heard of any scandal involving KinKi Kids, seriously!(Which I'm glad of) Have you?

I'd be more like shocked really, plus of course sad too, but happy at the same time..it'd be mixed feelings, to know that they finally get married and stuffs. ^^

I havent heard of any kinki kids scandal either. There used to be something solid going around abt Tsuyo dating some actress, but really cant remember her name. Though u know, I am pretty sure Ko-chan must have dated someone at some pt or another, just never caught. I mean as much as he likes to claim that he's boring, shy doesnt go out, doesnt know anyone, I find it very hard to imagine him as a thirty year old virgin. :P

Did u learn your japanese in college?

The actress, could it be Koike Eiko? Haha, just a guess though, because they seemed pretty close in Shindoi. And with lots of chemistry too! *_*. I liked that actress, but she got married to a pro-wrestler last year, I mean in 2007. o.O
There were rumours between Tsuyoshi and Fukada too..when they were in To Heart..but,well, like I care..:p

LOL, well, I do think they've dated somebody at least once too.

Nope, I never went for any formal Japanese lesson or class. I learnt all by myself, the katakana, hiragana, grammars, and is now struggling with Kanji (actually translating all these is a bit beyond my capability..^^;..look at all the Kanji used!)
But yeah, one of the best way to learn language is to actually speak the language and practise it with somebody who knows. Which is quite impossible for me. XD..well, I do one way learning by watching heaps, heaps of variety bangumi..x_x
You said you're going home, you're living in Tokyo?

nah, I live in Chicago currently, but am actually from Hongkong. I was going home to Hongkong from Chicago but stopping by tokyo en route. I agree with you that the best way to get to know a language is to have some to speak to and practise. I work in a japanese lab, so I have a number of japanese colleagues and my boss is japanese too, but even then it's still weird for me to practise my crappy jap on them. I think the only way to gain proper japanese proficiency is to go live in japan :P. I have a japanese guy friend helping me translate the stuff I sub, frankly, when i watch a show, I probably understand only abt 50% of their conversation even with 2 years of college jap classes. So I think you are awesome to have self taught yourself so much!! like seriously wow!!!
where do you live? somewhere in asia too?

That's so true! I think even if I knew nothing about Japanese, once I'm thrown into the middle of that place, I'll learn the language in no time. ^^..well, someday I will. ^^ (I'm an optimistic person.:p)

You're studying/working in US, it seems? It must be hard being so far from your homecountry for so long..as much as I'd love to go to Japan, it's a bit unimaginable for me to live there in a long term.

Yeah, I live in Malaysia, that's not so far from Hong Kong isn't it? ^^ . I really want to go for a formal Japanese class someday and take the JPLT ..I wonder when that will be. x_x..I guess if you're interested then anything is possible, even learning Japanese all by yourself. Somehow it sounds so lonely LOL.
