Yeah, not as catchy title as Speed Racer, but in-between blinding displays of speed and bright colours, there were almost heavy handed attempts to sell the concept that the characters are not as 2d compared to their older anime counterparts.
But further back, I finally got in a majority of steampunk stuff I ordered from ebay. The rings are pretty awesome, both of them fit pretty firmly, with pocket watch gear bits on the top, making them match. The goggles, or as I refer to them now failoggles, are a disappointment. They're in a really big need of having a proper gold and bronze painting job done to them, but over all, not what I was expecting, but it happens with ebay.

However, the best item out of all is the Mascot Robot Haro. To say that his only function is to yap away in Japanese is an understatement, there is so much more to this yellow orb of anime nerd-ism! In the advance technology of toys, Haro has a built in alarm system, operating between the hours of 7 am to 9 pm, unless manually shut off otherwise.
Do I know how to set the time? Yes, english instructions are easily found on yahoo but the real trick is... Did I do that right?
Haro - "Haro! Haro! Doreku!"
Me - "... Ok, fair enough."
Even more weird is that like it's American, and therefore less hip, counterpart Furby, he'll talk more if you start talking back to him. I'm really not finding myself talking aloud to myself all the time as near future development, so between passing hours of silence, he'll just start yelling randomly, so fun.

Other things that happened this past week or so, since I work until 12am, I keep on missing LARP but not afters. So, after being disgusted upon my rides from work on the skytrain to Boston Pizza or Dennys, I usually only feel like having something to drink... And then five minutes later, yay food.
Also, we end up going to the 24/7 arcade on Kingsway sometimes, called Circuit Circus. My focus is usually on trying not to fail completely at Guitar Freaks, shooting the undead in House of The Dead 4, or being a pinball wizard, there is.... DDR. Funny enough, the only one I don't end up looking like someone trying to put out a fire with their feet is Into The Groove, which is more of the trainer wheels verison of DDR.
Speaking of LARP, Stones started again under a new name, although Phil has worked out the kinks of Stones, trying to make it less smacking people around with foam, and more of a thinking/dramatic smacking people with foam weapons.
Finally, on the note of non-larp events, the search for a new place is getting closer to actually finding the source of the search. I think it'd be fair to say that it is not my own, Tony's, or Kim's idea to find a four bedroom, there's no way around it as three bedrooms are hard enough to find, let alone ones that accept pets.
As for an unrelated side note, I hate the Wii controls for Mario Kart Wii, they're madness and full of lose, however Smash Brothers Brawl is epic, GO LUCARIO!
Icon for the visually impaired - Boba Fett, Original Spaced Rum.
