So I woke up later today. What was suppose to be 10:30 turned into 11:30, and after much inner debate, I prepared for the snowy day, with LARP in mind.
So quickly did everything get progressively worse. Waking up later prevented me from being able to merely get a ride from King George to the Green Timbers Park, so I went with transit, after finally making it to Surrey. Of course, it being Sunday, buses only come once an hour, so I went to the book store in Surrey Central mall and got Confessor, picking it over the new SW Republic Commando book. =O
So, the bus pulls up, I get on and I bide my time until getting to the intersection that I assume from the map I printed off from google that it would be the familier spot. With that good faith in mind, I keep walking along Frasier Highway, the coldness slowly setting in, nipping at my ears and numbing at my finger tips.
That optimistic nature starts turning into growing impatience. I should know where I'm going, I've been walking for a bloodly while, being about nearly an hour, rounding an entire section of the park at least once before trying to phone Hayley to see if there's a more specific map on their hosting site.
She's asleep still, and I clench my fists, stuffing them back into my pockets to retain the warmth. I think to myself, knowing that I've walked in colder weather before in Ontario, and that luckily, nobody else has to walk with me so that they can be spared this aimless wandering.
Making another circle around the other side of Green Timbers, at this point Hayley phones me back, wondering why I would be wandering around Surrey, what sane person would enjoy random walks in Surrey!? I explain the situation, as she gets Shafik to phone me back with some directions, as he informs me that it'd take an hour to get where I wanted to go from where I was currently.
At such point, any cheerness has been carried off by the cold wind biting into my body, getting my sense of direction back intact enough to head towards King George. A few warmer minutes later, I go to Ages to see if Tony wants to paint Gundams or at least try Pokemon on Wii, but neither happened as there was a Christmas thing today.
On top of that, my copy of Diamond doesn't work with Pokemon Battle Revolutions. So, I'll just brood here, with my book.
