Yeay thank you, it's so nice to be in a community where we can talk to people of similiar interests!

True, I am hopelessly addicted to the Internet, especially on Facebook. Resident FB stalker here.

Hahaha interrogate ahead, I love answering questions like these!
I'm actually pretty new in this whole ARASHI fandom thing, I've only been liking them for about a year or so? It wasn't an easy transition for me, I hated japanese pop.(or any kind of pop for that matter)

My ARASHI story is a classic one, got Jun-baited by Hanadan.

I have since moved on though.

It is hard to get stuff without an lj huh.
I've thought of getting an account for the longest time ever but to be honest it's kind of a scary world. I've heard a lot about lj dramas and haters and things like that coz I have friends in the KATTUN fandom.

There are some really nice people on lj who leave their stuff public though, so that's really nice.
I feel like I can really respect people like them, rather than those who locks their posts and demands comments and whatnots. I mean, I will usually comment to thank them, but I wouldn't like to feel obligated like that.

But then again, there are those who uses stuff for other purposes than for their own personal pleasure. I suppose it's all an action-reaction kind of response. AND HOW ON EARTH did I digressed to this?!

Hahahaha back to the main question, I just dig through the Internet, really. The Internet Download Mangager software helps a lot and I used to check streaming sites every couple days for new stuff so.

Damn this is so long it almost deserves a post in itself hahaha!
Tips and tricks to survive the fandom without an lj!

*high fives* I've only been into Arashi for just over a year myself (Hmm, so it's only been a year or so since I picked up Japanese, huh? Feels longer XDD), and I wasn't a fan of any kind of pop in particular before that either.

Guilty secret: I haven't actually watched Hanadan! Haha, who's your favourite then, if you've 'moved on' from the Jun-bait?

Ah, KAT-TUN fandom! I actually quite like KT songs myself, but I'm not active in that fandom; somehow it attracts all the worst fandom behaviour. All I can say is that the Arashi fandom is much less scary. You don't really find haters in Arashi fandom, actually - or rather, it's generally a big bundle of love around here (^ω^)

Yeah, I used to be annoyed that all the good stuff was locked up in LJ communities and stuff too, but from the other side of the fence (i.e. after I got recruited into a subbing team ^^ I translate for Ao no Michi) I can tell you there's important reasons for it. It's because subbing is pretty much illegal (even if it's non-profit), so if the communities keep it to members-only then it's easier to monitor who has access to the vids and prevent the vids from reaching streaming sites where the authorities are more likely to see + shut down the sub teams. If that happens, in the end all the non-Japanese speaking fans will have no subs at all!

Also, as you mentioned, there are unscrupulous people who try sell subs for profit and things like that. So yeah, rules are pretty strict for some communities (like Stormy) but I wouldn't say there are any LJ communities (though I can't speak for private LJs) who demand for comments per se. It's just that subbing is really a lot of work (I never knew HOW much until I learnt what happens behind the scenes) and a comment isn't that high a price to pay for all that ♪

Ah you've only started learning Japanese for over a year?!
Ok I am officially jealous! ;) I've been learning it for almost half a year and uhm..yeah. I can't even read kanji wtf.

My favourite, Mr. Oshaberi Kazunari! ♥
Though sometimes I switch sides to Mr. Masakidotcom teehee I love them both too much! They're have such endearing personalities! (But then again, so do all the members.) (^∇^)

With Nino, I guess if I had to pick someone with whom I have the most similiar personality with (to a certain extent), it'd be him :) What about your favourite, I still can't figure it out hahaha!

Sometimes I think when the ARASHI members get along so well with each other, the people who are watching them can really feel the warmth. With KATTUN, especially so after Jin left, sometimes people are bound to take sides right? Particularly the uhm fanatical type of fans. I must admit that KATTUN makes good music though, I don't listen to them very much but I know they have really good quality songs. ;D

SUBBING IS ILLEGAL?! ∑(O_O;)
Ok suddenly everything seem so much clearer.
What an ignorant person I've been!

Ah you're part of a subbing team? How nice!
You know, I really really wish to translate for the fandom one day. I took a course in translation last year and as tough as it was, I learnt so many interesting things that I'd like to apply to in real life. Plus, I'd taken so many things from others that I feel the want to contribute to the fandom as well. (^-^*)

私の日本語はまだまだだけど、
うまくなれるにがんばるよ!
