Anyone know how to delete windows XP so i can reinstall the CD I have? (it's an older version and wont install while the newer version is on the comp D:

Two ways that I remember, see if either of them is correct and I'm not just some crazy motherfucker who hears voices:

1) If you check your boot settings when you restart your computer, it might give you the option.

2) Far more likely, there should be an option under system tools to format the drive, which'll pave the whole thing, allowing you to reinstall.

Load up BIOS > Change the Boot Order to your CD Drive first then shove your Windows CD in your computer and go at it.
Note: Your gonna lose everything on your PC >_> make backups.

because i have a more recent Windows XP O.S. it doesn't let me install it from CD. "Cannot install older version of Windows XP while a newer version is the default" or some such crap

However....i'll have to boot it in safe mode (only way it'll run) and try to pave the whole thing like Abu suggested, then install the older CD.

or you could use a BootLoader and have it do a full format on that partition :P
