i just couldn't help myself...
On my HPFF account - elegantphoenix - I started this story called French Charm and I just couldn't help myself when the opportunity arised and I realized that I could post a little snippet of it HERE!!! I am really proud of my story now and the lovely reviews have given me such a confidence boost it's ridiculous. So if you're here reading this from the forums, then I'll say that the rest of the chapter will be up in about a week after clean-up is finished (I'm not putting the entire thing up because who wants to spoil surprises!?). And if you're here from LJ... well, you probably have no idea what this about and should go to HPFF and look up the story and read the first chapter :)
Anyway, now that I'm done rambling...
Apolline smiled with satisfaction and leaned back in her chair, just as Bill appeared. "Teddy, there you are! I've been looking for you all day," He said, grinning. "We're going fishing."
For a long moment, nobody did anything but stare and blink.
"Er... alright." Teddy replied uncertainly, half standing up before Victoire put a hand on his arm.
"Sorry to burst your bubble, Dad, but you've never fished a day in your life." She reminded him, raising an eyebrow at him. Bill walked around the table nonetheless, gabbing Teddy by the shoulder and pulling him out of his chair.
Bill patted him on the back so hard he jumped forward a few steps. "Right, well that doesn't mean I can't bond with my soon to be son-in-law, now does it Teddy?"
"N-No sir." Teddy replied, a bit surprised that the question had been directed specifically at him.
"Bill, I still don't think this is such a good idea -" Fleur tried to reason.
"See?" Bill said, interrupting his wife as though she hadn't spoken at all with another wide grin. "We'll be fine."
"Dad -"
He was already steering Teddy toward the gate, waving dismissively over his shoulder. "We will be back before dinner." He assured them and with that, they were gone. The remaining four women exchanged looks, knowing this would not end well.
