Last night my friend Salimah and I were hanging out with my dad and his family.
My little brother comes up to Salimah and touches her breast. I got a little agitated because he knew what he was doing, and he knew he was going to get in trouble.
I brought him aside and I asked him if he knew what he did, he stated that "I touched her boob". I am just livid... who does that? Where did he learn that from (the name and the action)? Why did he do it? I got a little assertive and I told him not to do it.
This morning we had a talk about it, and he stated that his friends taught him.
So, I had to do a little "re-sociolization". Luckily it was just me talking to him and not the rest of the family.
I told him why it is not right and why he shouldn't do it to people because it is intrusive (used different words of course).
I don't know if it a) was right to teach him in that manner and b) he absorbed, but geez, he's 5!
