Nadia and Bailey were dancing around the room like crazy to the CD they'd gotten at Empire. Walter stood in the doorway to watch his girls dancing, not bothering to hide his grin.

He tried to untangle her from his leg to pick her up. "What?"

Right. Walter was going to be one of those fathers.

Or maybe it was just that she'd said it was Chad's son, and Chad really wasn't Walter's favorite person when it came to the females in his life.

"You know what you're supposed to do to boys who kiss you?" Walter said in a confidential tone. He then went on to describe something that neither Chad nor Orden would likely thank him for teaching Bailey.

"And that's until you're at least... thirty."

Double-standard? Hell yes.

"Daddy's a mean guy, you must know that by now," Walter said, finding a clean spot on Bailey's cheek to give her a kiss.

He looked up to Nadia and gave her a look that was mostly amused. "He'd better. I'm not sure which of us would be more of a problem if he wasn't."

Come to think of it, Bailey would probably be it. Nadia and Walter couldn't very well beat up a kid, could they?
