It was always one thing or the other. Either work or school or something else.
But I wasn't going to miss it a third time.
"What if Tobi finally keeps his words and there won't be another album? What if they never tour again?"
There wasn't a lot to think about, really. So once I had the ticket and some time off work, I headed to Avantasia...
And it was everything I expected - and more. A three-hour long show (three hours!) with I'd say 99% of my favorite songs, amazing musicians on stage and a show I don't regret skipping work for. Or missing my nephew's birthday (he's still giving me grief about it, though :P).
Felix (a.k.a. Boom Boom Bunny Bohnke) right at the beginning of the show, as "Also Spracht Zarathsutra" boomed in the background.
Sascha Paeth and the bassist whose name escapes me (it was very German :P). Yes, I was that close. No way I was going to let go on that spot on the front row once I squeezed my way in there!
I have to admit I'd never seen a leopard-print top hat before, but hey, it's Tobi. He's worn zebra-print jackets before, so... :P

It should be ILLEGAL to have hair that long and that beautiful. Especially when she stepped off the stage with every strand in place and I looked like I had put my fingers in a socket!
A girl tossed this cap to the stage and it went from Olli's head to the bassist. Tobias could hardly keep on singing while looking at Oliver with this thing on. LOL
This is nothing but a brief selection of pics, of course. All in all, it was AMAZING. I beat my own record this time, spending only 12 hours in Buenos Aires (I had the time to stay there for another day, I just didn't want to) and honestly? I can't wait for Avantasia to go on tour again. :D
