- Remember me talking about wanting to find a job as a professor? Well, I attended my first "meeting" yesterday. The public schools system here works (roughly) like this: it's based on a scoring system. If you've been working as a professor for years, you have a really high score. If you've just graduated, your score is good, but not that good. In my case, since I'm about to graduate, I'm pretty much at the bottom of that pile. XD So, you go to these "meetings" (can't think of a better translation, really), where you're informed of all the classes that need a substitute (either for the short or long term), and the professor with the highest score has the right to choose the class that suits him/ her best. It might take some time until I find something, but I'm not giving up hope.
- I went back to class this past Tuesday, and the best news that I've got so far is that I passed all the midterms I saw for before the winter break. I was terrified about Grammar's, since that subject is the bane of my existence, but somehow, I got the highest grade. Can't see where that comes from, though, since I was a 90% sure I had failed.
- In case anyone's interested, I just got seven invite codes from Dreamwidth.
- Orlando Bloom is going to be a dad! (Not that a lot of you care about it, anyway. XD)
- Happy 29th birthday, Mr. Ben Barnes!
