Out of the last 48 crazy hours, I must have spent a total of 14 at home. Sleeping, only.
Everything is hectic at this time of the year. Class, work, everyone wants to get everything done after procrastinating for a whole year...
- Mid-terms are coming. Woohoo. NOT! XD I think Grammar is the first one... the always dreaded Grammar mid-term... I should start preparing for the finals, but I don't really have the time to read the material - I can barely keep up with everything as it is. In fact, I think I don't keep up, actually! XD
- Mother's Day is on Sunday. Seems to be a drama-free one this year, keep your fingers crossed or me!
- Talking about family, I've been tutoring Santiago this past week (which added to the hectic effect). He's finishing Primary School, and sitting for the exams to enter this very good Secondary School. He's been attending to the preparatory course almost all year long, passed the first three exams, and is now sitting for the other three (two Social Sciences exams, two Maths ones and two for Language and Literature). I've been helping him with the latter, and I hope he does well tomorrow. It's exhausting, however, to tutor someone from your family (especially any of my nephews: I have such a close relationship with them that it made Santiago try and overstep the boundaries this past couple of days. I suppose it's hard for him to conceive his aunt as a teacher. My chronic lack of seriousness doesn't help much either. :P)
- I went to the doctor yesterday. Routine visit, nothing serious. I have to get blood tests done, as I predicted. I should see a dermatologist too, if I only had the time!
- Rata Blanca is playing in MdP this Sunday, but I'm not going. :( My brother is busy, and I would take Santiago, but it's a school day the day after, so that obviously rules it out. Going on my own is just TOO boring.
- Some of my classmates and I have been asked to participate in a literary contest as judges. We must read over poetry, sonnets, short tales and other texts written by Secondary School students, and name winner, second and third place, and two special mentions. We have to get together to define what the parameters will be for evaluation and basically read the stories. I have no idea what we got ourselves into, but I'm sure we'll have a good time doing it. ;)
- We've been also offered to tutor students in a school (helping them prepare their finals), but since it should happen in the middle of the mid-terms craze, I'm not sure I'll participate. Of course, I'd get paid, but I have to think it over before saying yes.
- Did any of the Germans in my flist watch 'Das Wilde Leben'? Is it good?
