The Olympics

Mom and I are huge fans of the Olympics. She has been watching far more TV than I for the last couple of days, so if you wanna know how the Argentinian athletes are doing, ask her. *LOL*

The good thing is that've been great so far. The football team is already in the next round, the hockey girls beat Spain 4-0 yesterday, one of our swimmers won a bronze medal after like 70 years without one in that sport and the basketball team beat Servia & Montenegro in the last millisecond. Manu Ginobili from San Antonio Spurs (although I'm not sure he still plays there) threw the ball while he was falling when there was 0.1 seconds left. He scored and we won 83-82. I have to admit that I'm much of an ignorant when it comes to basketball, but it was a very exciting game. And as I said before, there's no way you're watching something else if mom is at home. *LOL*

Yesterday mom and I were taking about how intrigued Santiago is about my dad. For those who don't know, my dad died when I was seven, and as for my siblings, Mauro was 14 and Silvina was 20. Santy can't understand why he didn't got to meet him. We explained him why, but for him, Abuelo Juan is nothing but a blurry image built of what we've told him about him. Yesterday, he asked my sister if football players usually scored goals with their heads and she answered him that yes, it happens all the time. She then told him that my dad (who was a footie fan and played in every amateur team that crossed his way *LOL*) did it too. 'Oh, so he was a great player' he said. I wish I could tell him more, but there's so little that I remember of my dad myself that there's not much I can do...

Have I already mentioned that I have a long holiday? Three days off work, thank God! Things over there are a bit dense lately, especially since my boss' brother is running away from his girlfriend. It wouldn't be so bad if the girl weren't a potential psycho who threatened him, his kids (of a previous relationship) and even the institute where I work, which belong to his brother (a.k.a. my boss). He's always sneaking in and out of places and he told me that if anyone calls asking for him, I have to say that I know nothing. Jeez, I have some sort of magnet that drags me into these sort of crappy situations.... *sigh*

I'll post the new chapters I have of 'Wynter' if anyone wants to read them, ok? That's before I post them in MITM.
