Stormy Weather
Stormy Weather. It was a sunny day today but the residual affects from yesterday's stormy weather live on. The world feels cleaner, fresher, greener. I had been, for the last several weeks, almost desperate for rain. Moisture, the freshening of my little piece of the world. Alexa called me on my mobile at the first drop, she was thrilled to see it. She did get a little nervous later on as we watched the tornado sightings and flashing warnings. But it left a clean crisp day. She and Paul are walking the dog and gulping in the cool air. Wearing her AV sweatshirt, a sign that fall is coming.
I also had a feeling of being cared for. Andrea called to check on me. I've missed a few Wednesday 3rd hour prayers, and she called to say she missed me. We had a nice chat. Nothing big, but I felt loved. And Becky called to warn us of impending tornadoes and to tell me she had seen one herself. So all in all, I felt cared for.
Another stormy day or two would be nice in the near future...
