(no subject)
Heya. I figured I'd update this as I have some time to kill. I had a really good day today. I was up ridiculously early, and Corey was at Vic ready to pick laura and I up to go to scott's in Lindsay at 8:30. Wow, early. But it was fun. We were here by 11 something, played some mario kart, then I decided to do their dishes. It was really quite entertaining.
Then, we went on a field trip. Scott's in forestries/fisheries, so him, his roomates and me, laura, and corey, went on a long drive to this random really woodsy place for them to identify a bagillion trees by name. Laura and I didn't have rubber boots, so corey gave us big men rubber boots that were literally twice our feet size. We took advantage of every puddle/pond/mini lake thing. There was much, much, much laughter. It was SO beatiful out there, and very funny. It reminded me of the geology trip last year when everyone would be working and we (carin, hans, and I) could just play around because we weren't in the class.
The four of us stopped by McDonald's, then went for an even MORE beautiful walk in a park by the campus for a long time. I felt kind of like I was in Blair Witch in the middle of those woods, but it was gorgeous, and by the river. I definitely have never been on such a beautiful walk in a VERY long time... We went over a small fence so that we could walk in this ridiculously large incredible field. It was SO pretty, SO sunny, and SO refreshing.
We came back here and Laure/I had a nap while the guys went to go buy alcohol. Tonight we pretty much just took it easy (much to his roommate alex's dismay, apparently we've ruined Queen's girls reputations for life- well shucks. *sarcasm*., hung out, listened to music, talked. One of scott's roommates was off somewhere getting extremely drunk and it was really sweet to watch the rest of them take care of him. They're so good to each other.
I'm a little confused about some things right now. I'm in a situation that reminds me of a sinusoidal curve. OH my.
Anyway, pretty much an early night; Corey and Laure are already in bed, Scotty's waiting up to check on his roommate, and I therefore am left here to write:)
I have a lot of work to do tomorrow. Exams begin far too soon and I have much, much learning to do. It's been a rough year, but it's almost over.
I'm confident about going back home in the summer now.
