I'm starting to warm up a bit more to Goblet of Fire, though I still have issues with it. I don't get how they can leave out some of what they did, because it sets up some events in the next movie. These directors aren't approaching the books as a series, they're approaching each movie as seperate entities. That would be fine if they were filming, say, Discworld or something like that, where books don't (for the most part) set up other books. Yeah, there is the one where it's found that Carrot is heir to the throne of Ankh-Morpok, but that's implied in other books enough that readers get it. There are no crucial points that set up the next book in the adult Discworld series. (Adult = excluding Wee Free Men and Hat Full of Sky, which are related, but The Great Pratchett says are for kids.)
Had a fight with one of my sisters today. It was a stupid arguement, like all of them are. I won, but it doesn't make me feel great. There are times when I wish our personalities were a lot closer; we set each other off all the time. She's always running late, I'm always running early. She's left-brained (scientific stuffs) while I'm right-brained (loopy and claiming to be artistic.) There are days when we're perfect together, awesome friends, and then there are days when we bicker about little things on the car drive home.
I have one of four revisions done for class, and only 5k words written for NaNoWriMo. Whoops. I know I started late (Nov. 11th) but still... I'm seriously going to try to spend this week writing. I need to do it. Heck, I set aside time today to do it, but fell asleep reading over what I need to revise. Am I that dull of a writer? Yeesh.
Anyways. We're..... OFF to see the muses, the wonderful fickle muses...
