We'll see how long I stay awake, hee. Conventions are exhausting. Awesome, but exhausting.
It always amazes me how small AFO's premises ar, especially compared to Megacon and Metrocon. Even JaCon was bigger, size-wise. But for all the smallness, it makes up for it in how many panels it has, and the RPG.
The RPG is a bit silly. The writers could use a good editor, but... it's not bad. This is the fourth year, and I've maxed out all three previous times. This one will be a little tricky since I'm only going two days this year, but I've already got a good start. You need 45 EXP to max out and I gained 25 today. Though I'll be going to more panels and be in more lines tomorrow. We'll see.
There wasn't a lot that was impressive, costume wise, today. I've seen the Lion King Sora before, there was a girl that looked like Princess Crimea of the GC and Wii Fire Emblems but was someone else... nothing all that special. Some steampunk stuff since this year's RPG was a bit steampunky, but. ~shrugs~ That's all right. Tomorrow's the big costume day.
I went in my pirate costume. The boots kinda kill my feet after oh, nine hours. Oops. But it was fun.
Dealer's room was decent. I found a Vir Cotto action figure for $2.00. It was so random and cheap I had to get him. And I found a red leaf headband that's long enough to go around my waist. >.>
I ran into Mugie! She helped me with a quest! :D
Tomorrow I must hit the Dancing Kakashi panel and the cosplay skit competition. I think we're also hitting the Naruto vs Bleach panel, and by we I mean myself (going as Urahara), a friend going as Matsumoto, and her fiance going as Shunsui. It could be very fun. :D It'll be more fun if the fourth member of our group, a six-foot-tall guy with a beard, cosplays Haruno Sakura. Including dying his beard pink.
Fun was had. I took a few pictures for different quests I was sent on, but my camera is on the other side of the room and my feet hurt, so. Plus they weren't great. The one good cosplay I'd seen before, Asuma.
So yeah, tired now, looking forward to tomorrow.
