19 - how many degrees it was with windchill this morning. In Florida.
18 - the amount of strokes in the character used for 'day' in Suday, Monday, etc, in Japanese.
17 - The amount of those 18 strokes I have down. Number 13 keeps winding up too far to the right.
15 - how many years since it snowed last in Central Florida. That's supposed to change this weekend. When I'm in South Florida. So I get the cold without the perk of cool little flurries.
10 - how many ridiculous requests our affiliate office wants me to cover. (2 - the amount that are practical and make sense, so they have 12 requests in total.)
3 - apparently how many days it takes to reset your body from staying up until ridiculous-a.m. to practical-for-work-a.m. It only takes one day to set a bad pattern. This apparently means my body is bound and determined to make me fall asleep at work. But I will prevail! Maybe.
2 - The amount of games I fell behind in while trying to be practical. Guess who is playing insane-catch-up tonight? Hee.
Also 2 - the amount of days left before competition. I don't have one of the transitions down yet; the pipers changed the timing again because they were having trouble with the notes.
0 - How many notes I got from the teacher I subbed for on Tuesday. He left me the book and worksheets. Oh yeah, that was fun. Except not. There's nothing like playing guesswork in front of a group of 7th and 8th graders, who can tell. Next time I'm asked to sub for that guy, I'm specifically requesting a note with instructions, or they can call someone else. I love teaching. I hate feeling clueless.
Other random facts - the Japanese Coach thingy on the DS taught me some more verbs yesterday. Among them - kagayaku, to glow or to sparkle. Oh yeah. I can conjugate sparkling now. And 'haimish' is Yiddish for warm, cozy. Which I am not. It's cold! Stupid Florida and its dislike of letting people acclimate.
