Bush Gardens Trip and my Birthday

Sep 18, 2005 18:12

I left friday evening at around 6:00 to go to Williamsburg/Bush Gardens trip with a bunch of fellow (former and current) cancer patients. What should have been a roughly 2-3 hour trip turned into 6 and half. There were like 3 accidents, one including a tipped 18-wheeler (which bogged 3 lanes into 1. So we arrived at around 12:30 am, hung out and went to bed.

In the morning we went out to a small pancake/eggs restaurant for breakfast, It was really quite good. We then proceeded to Bush Gardens and rode most of the big attractions, I was unimpressed though with their new Darkastle ride/cinema. With a short educational trip at 4 to some presidential museum with most of the presidents statues (busts) made out of stone or plaster. First time there for me, but it was actually pretty cool. Dinner at 7 and then we headed to a go kart and arcade center. Karts were driven and games were played... nuff said. Afterwards we went back to Bush Gardens for a couple hours to view their Octoberfest festivities. They pay a bunch of people to dress up and jump out at you and stuff like that... mildly entertaining. Afterwords we went back to the motel and crashed.

At 8 the next day we then drove back to the breakfast house and had a second filling. A short trip to colonial williamsburg (aside) [the sponsor thinks we all love going to colonial williamsburg early in the morning... she's a really old but nice lady, so we just suck it up and act grateful... but overall its actually not that bad. After all, she organizes and pays for the entire trip, so cant realy complain anyhow.] Anyways that was followed up by a significantly shorter (time wise) trip back as opposed to the trip getting there.

Well that's about it. Turning 22 tomorrow. Just mail the checks or cash to 2503 Dover Court... j/k.
